Learning goes beyond the classroom via enrichment opportunities designed to enhance your confidence and regularly expose you to experts from a variety of fields, including academia, industries, politics and the media. You will have unique access to the Mossbourne Rowing Academy, alumni of which have elected to studying (and rowing) in the United States of America. Staff deliver the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which ensures yours will stand out amongst the thousands that top universities receive each year.
Mossbourne Sixth Form offers a unique and bespoke enrichment and careers programme for all of our students. Our Higher Education And Careers Programme and our Early Applicants Programme are strengths, and our expert team will support you in researching courses, applying to UCAS and getting ready for university. Specialist programs such as the Medical Bursary, MedSoc and Architecture and Built Environments Society enable our students to embark on the next stage of their journey to become medics, dentists, engineers, vets, architects, year on year.
Within clear and firm guidelines, Mossbourne Sixth Form students are accorded greater freedoms in dress, study and the use of their time. The building is excellently resourced, with computer stations available all day, a specialised library, music and art spaces and dedicated rooms for student study. There is also a common room for students at breaks and lunchtimes. At the same time, students have the benefit of being part of the whole school, and a huge range of clubs, societies and leadership activities are on offer to further expand experiences.
Mossbourne Sixth Form students can also apply for a discretionary bursary to meet individual needs – for example, help with the cost of transport, meals, books and equipment.
