As the final lesson of the Political and Media Literacy Course, delivered as part of the Year 12 Enrichment Programme, the students presented speeches on a societal issue that they are passionate about to a member of Parliament. On Wednesday 15th December, Lord McNicol of West Kilbride listened to each individual student’s speech and gave detailed feedback on their presentation skills, structure, topic and the strategic language used. Through a variety of diverse topics, the students demonstrated that young people have the knowledge, ability and passion to address the societal issues of today.
